1. What Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide our service effectively and safely:
- Member information — name, age, location, language preferences, and any personal details shared during onboarding to help us match the right companion
- Family contact information — name, email, phone number of the designated family contact
- Communication records — notes from companion interactions used for quality supervision and family reporting
- Payment information — processed securely through our payment provider; we do not store card details
- Usage information — which services are used, call frequency, and engagement patterns to improve service quality
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to:
- Match you or your loved one with the most compatible companion
- Deliver scheduled calls, check-ins, and community services
- Prepare family summary reports for designated contacts
- Supervise companions and ensure ethics policy compliance
- Process billing and manage your subscription
- Improve our service quality and companion training
- Contact you about important service updates or changes
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the service you signed up for.
3. What We Will Never Do
Absolute commitments — no exceptions, ever
- Sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party
- Share your information with advertisers or marketing companies
- Share member conversations with family without explicit authorization
- Use your story, name, or situation in marketing without written consent
- Share scam recovery support conversations with anyone — including family
- Keep your data after you request deletion beyond legal retention requirements
- Allow companions access to financial information beyond what is necessary for scam awareness
4. Scam Recovery Support — Special Protection
Communications related to our free scam recovery support are held to the highest level of confidentiality within our service. These conversations are treated as entirely separate from any family reporting — and are never shared with family members, companions, or any external party without the explicit written consent of the person who reached out.
We understand that many survivors reach out privately precisely because they have not told their family. We honour that completely.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable and appropriate technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. All communication platforms used by our companions are reviewed for security. Payment processing is handled by certified secure providers.
No system is 100% secure, but we take this responsibility seriously and review our security practices regularly.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all personal information we hold about you
- Correct — ask us to correct any inaccurate information
- Delete — request complete deletion of your data at any time
- Restrict — ask us to limit how we use your information
- Withdraw consent — stop any use of your information at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at care @ elysiumcare.org. We will respond within 7 business days.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your membership is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for billing and legal compliance purposes. Upon a deletion request, we remove all personal data within 30 days except where required by law to retain certain records.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you by email at least 14 days before any material changes to this Privacy Policy take effect. Your continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
9. Contact Us
