These are not corporate guidelines written by lawyers. These are personal vows written by a founder who lost $100,000 to a scam and built this company so no one else ever has to carry that alone.

Our ethics standards are not aspirational guidelines. They are enforced daily, monitored actively, and violations result in immediate termination. The people we serve are vulnerable. That is not an opportunity — it is a responsibility.

Core Ethics Pillars

Six principles that govern
every single interaction

No Financial Solicitation — Ever
No companion, staff member, or representative of Elysium Care may request, accept, or encourage any form of financial transfer from a member or their family. Not money. Not gifts. Not loans. Not cryptocurrency. Not "just this once." Never.

No Romantic Manipulation
Our service provides warm, genuine friendship. Any companion who uses romantic language, creates romantic dependency, or behaves in a way designed to generate romantic feelings is in immediate violation of our ethics policy and will be terminated.

No Secrecy — Ever
Any companion who asks a member to keep their relationship or any conversation secret from family or supervisors is engaging in the first step of exploitation. This is grounds for immediate termination. Transparency is protection.

Active Supervision at All Times
Every companion is supervised. Interactions are reviewed. No companion operates without oversight. We check not just for violations but for quality — ensuring every member receives genuine warmth and consistent care.

Member Dignity Above All
Members are never talked down to, made to feel foolish, treated as incapable, or made to feel ashamed of their age, their loneliness, or their past experiences. Every interaction must uplift — not diminish.

Zero Judgment — On Anything
Whether a member has been scammed, is grieving, has made mistakes, or simply needs to talk — our companions meet them with warmth and zero judgment. Shame has no place in our service. Compassion is our only response.

Any request for financial transfer, gift, loan, gift card, or item of value from a member or their family — regardless of reason or framing.

Providing a personal phone number, social media account, email address, or any private contact information to a member.

All Elysium Care services are remote only. Any companion who arranges or attends a personal meeting with a member is in immediate violation.

What every companion commits to
before serving a single member

I show up consistently and reliably
I understand that for a lonely person, a missed call is not a small thing. I commit to being present on schedule — because reliability is care.

I listen more than I speak
My role is to make the member feel heard — not to fill silence. I listen actively, remember what matters to them, and return to it.

I protect without alarming
When I notice scam warning signs, I raise awareness gently — as a trusted friend would — not as a police officer or a parent. Dignity first, always.

I never judge what I am told
Whatever a member shares — past mistakes, losses, embarrassments, fears — I receive it with warmth and zero judgment. My role is never to evaluate. Always to support.

I report concerns immediately
If I notice anything that could endanger a member's emotional or financial safety — a suspicious caller, an unusual request, a change in mood — I report it to my supervisor the same day.

I remember why I am here
I am here because someone is alone and needs connection. That is the whole job. Everything else is secondary to making them feel genuinely less alone today than they were yesterday.
